    No cam sensor didn't change anything, not to worry as I have piece of mind now.

    I knobbeled the idle valve so I have a permanent 1000rpm and it seems fine now,
    Will replace that along with the after run pump as it doesn't work and leaks when hot.

    More fuel and a road test is in order today I think!

    Still runs mega rich but I will change the idle Valve first then go from there.

      Oh also, New normal wiper blades fixed the other issue so happy days.

          Nothing obvious mate, idle valve was leaking but nowt significant.

          Not doing anything else except untill I have driven it on 3rd March!

          Although I bought a 35 quid idle valve, will report back with quality lol

              Well I received my £32 delivered idle valve today and it looked very shiny and exactly matched the old item!

              I was confident.........

                Needless to say it didn't work and was even worse than the origional item and it wouldn't even run never mind just cut out!!!

                So it went in the bin.

                I refitted the old modified one and fitted an "Adaptive idle air torque flow valve "

                Can you spot it???? LOL

                  So,
                  Once normal idle had been resumed I set about the more important issues,

                  Will it rev past 5000rpm?

                  So on the ramp, wheels raised, 3rd gear and boost, keep boosting, and .................






                  6000rpm So I lifted off!! Success!!!!!!

                  So I took the opportunity to so a propper smoke leak/boost check



                  And no boost or vac leaks present.

                  You can see how the machine works, smoke at the MAF, yes?

                    I put another 10l of fuel in the car and sent one of the lads up the road for some boosty goodness.

                    Aaaaaaaaand....... Missfired it's **** off above 3500rpm

                    Bloody typical, ungrateful bitch unhappy no matter how many times I finger her, right?!

                    Anyway, moving forward, I stripped out all of the origional coils, wiring and spark plugs just before I went home.

                    Tomorrow morning at 8am I will be replacing the old crap with this little lot
                    .

                              They are sold by Error404 from the parts for sale section on the forum

                              Beru ones I think.

                              Another update, fitted new plugs and coils/harness and it runs much more smooth and revs much more crisp, super happy with results.

                              Time for a test drive,
                              So off to the fuel station we go, but all is not well.

                              A bit rough to the fuel station running wise,
                              Stuck 20quid in and we set off again.

                              Then the real problem rears its head!
                              It will not rev up past 2000rpm when moving.
                              Think moving from standstill at normal pace, change to 2nd gear and at about 2/2500 it just doesn't.
                              The fuel pump relay clicks like mad and once the key is cycled it fires back into life.

                              But the cycle continues once you pull away again!

                              Forget the lambda and idle codes, I disconnected them 2 items

                              Couple of pics below.

                              Would the crank sensor cause this???

                              Will fire up the oscilloscope first thing to confirm.

                              Only does it when hot and only when under load

                                It will rev to 4500/4800 sometimes also but you get the same fault, almost like a rev limmiter or badly blowing the spark out but only does 12psi so 100% not that

                                Please help !
