I am going for breakfast at the patents house (45 mins each way) 9.30 feeding time, and it is mostly single lane 60mph roads and "70"mph dual cabbage ways

I will take my camera, don't worry

I will know by 11am if it is fixed or if it is getting parked in my parents garage and I will be buying another VR6 golf and getting the Sapphire out of retirement.

Oh and I also have a £120 1.25 2001 fiesta just MOT/taxed and £191 C3 1.4HDi to mince about in so no rush sorting the S4

Sales cars will keep the classics on the road, and the £595 firsta and £1000 shytroen will buy goodies for both classics, or a VR6 this weekend

With regards the Cutting out issues..............

Took the S4 out for a drive to go see the parents this morning.

Leisurely drive along 60mph A roads, Had an A3 stuck on my tow bar all the way for 20 mins right up to it splits into dual cabbage way off the roundabout and luckily onto a did used RAF runway, how lucky was that!

So I kept in the left lane of the runway and matey in the A3 came past like his daughter was lost in the hood

60mph and 3rd gear was selected and 27psi deployed.............. Ooooooh mamma

anyway, I found a public road again and sat at 70mph and had breakfast at the parents house,

Same journey back, lots of boost and firing away from roundabouts and up slip roads sticking to 70/80 mph as to create the cutting out condition when hot.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, no issues at all

Tomorrow I am going 2 hours each way to Essex for a couple of interviews so will tell 100% if we are fixed.

Carpet is pulled back, fuse holder hanging out and a box of 50 fuses in the footwell lol

If I get there and back ok, I am calling this a fix!

It might just be in my mind, but it actually seems a lot more smooth to drive, idles better and pulls more clean from low revs, aswell as being a mental lunatic on full chat at 8000rpm

Or it could just be me having confidence in the old slag ?

Either way I will be in it for 4 hours minimum tomorrow and looking forward to it very much, which, is all that matters right people

Oh, and I will be slipping inside the Sapphire tomorrow, Hoping to get that out and re-commissioned after 9 years since its last MOT!

I am PROPPERLY excited to drive that, slow, smelly and looks bad with laquer peel but it is going to be an absolute riot this summer with my boy and the cars/shows!
