      Yes...

It Seems that the CQ or the early coupe routes the flexi from the rear part of the wheel well where as on yours the hard line terminates in the front.

The flexible lines I have are quite long and do "work" where I have them now but I can see the real S2 uses 2 flexible lines per caliper on the front

      Hm..

Cannot help on that one, on my S2 the hard brake line is in front of the hole for the track rod. Very strange the pipes terminate in a different location.

Very nice work on the car looks amazing.

Because of where I live I have not revisited the car.

I have found some photos of the car from previous and as you can see the flexible hose mounting points are located at the rear of the wheel wells.

Brake lines routing was changed at some point. I have a 1989-year coupe which had rear lines location originally, and on a 1990-year coupe the lines were routed on the front.

              Thanks!

              I wonder why that was/is.

Anyone got and input as to how to route the flexible hoses?

im fairly confident that as long as there is enough slack and they are not rubbing then they will be fine.

Could it be that the early coupe has the routing of the previous model?

Routing from the rear. And specifies this clip.

It specifies this clip. Can't find where it should go...

Routing from the front (like in my picture).

                  JW,

Thanks for the detail in your reply.

I can't think where that clip would fasten to either.

I will take another look at the routing of the hoses next time I get time for some work on the car.

I like how the clip is for the "brake trousers" haha.

                  Much appreciated!!

                  Jase.

I suspect it was linked to the removal of the procon-ten safety restraint system.

Unlikely. Both cars with different brake lines routing had procon-ten. And procon10 was discontinued much later.
I could imagine it was just a redesign to replace one very long brake hose (335 or 405mm) with two shorter ones.
