I thought the one on the silver car didn’t “look” too bad, I tried to phone them today but got no answer.
I need/want the sunroof panel and all the working if I can get them to remove them for me.
        I’ll try them again tomorrow.
I’m also after the front part of the dash with the switches in it and the plastic covers for the boot hinges.
        Fingers crossed.

I spoke to these guys today and they are hoping to not break these cars but rather they intend to sell them for restoration.
if anyone on her hears differently in the future let me know please.

I think those breakers must be wearing some special sort of glasses that block out rust as Dave has seen both cars in the flesh and recons they're both very rotten and from what I can see in the photos he's not joking.

Anything is repairable with enough time and money, perhaps they're saveable if someone who did their own body work purchased one, but I can't see paying a competent specialist to do the work being economically viable.

prooblem is if they put them on ebay they will sell for a decent amount going by listings I've seen recently, even in that state.

Your quite right David, however if someone was to simply go by the pictures a the listing they'd most likely turn up to collect the car(s) and end up walking away if they have any experience of doing extensive body work.

Don't get me wrong I'd always prefer to see rare cars restored as opposed to broken, however one has to draw a line somewhere.

I haven't personalty seen the cars but I trust Dave's judgement, especially as he's just had the bodywork on his UR repaired to a high standard so is well aware of the cost's involved.

I dare say these may crop up on eBay.

The quattro is worth a couple of grand to someone wanting the back end for a shorty, even if the floor is rotten. There are quite a few bits and pieces on them both that are worth a few quid now. Its worth far more than 500 quid imo
The s2 on ebay is up for 8 grand and it needs everything replacing or rebuilding. I paid 500 for one in slightly
better condition 15 or so years ago
4WDrifter I'm pretty sure I have a spare dash binnacle that houses the switches if thats what you need?

That's actually a fair point as there can't be many B2 quattro Coupes left that one could justify cutting up as good ones are now quite valuable, I guess breakers don't come up for sale that often. Also the 016 gearbox and running gear must be reasonably hard to find now.
