How about getting a Rieger RS2 front bumper? Pretty cheap, and then you just need to make some brackets?

I agree with above. I recently went through the options and all factored in, the Rieger is a pretty good choice. The OEM part new is just too expensive and I don't even know how available it is. Fiberglass options crack more easily than the thermoplastic style bumpers and highly localized stresses from mounting points may lead to cracking. You will have to make some brackets to support the front of the bumper.

Also, most fiberglass ones I've seen don't have the OEM style flange for the wheelwell mounting points. That is a very nice feature to have bonded to the bumper. You can do something similar with fiberglass though. I have not formally mounted it yet, but mock-up mounting looks good in all areas. All said and done, I had to pay about $680.00 USD to have it delivered to my door through a US distributor. Lots of this kind of stuff is hard to get over here.

Oh and the other thing to consider is the light options. Some replicas use S2 fog/turn signals and others use the RS2 style a la 993-that's what this one uses and I prefer as well. I got a set of clear turns, fogs, and brake ducts for this bumper for about 199 USD. Not genuine Porsche, but decent quality and about 1/4 the cost of new OEM.

ca nyou get replica ones that dont stick out so far? i'm not keen on the huge gap between the grill and the front of the bumper on the genuine rs2, aso i prefer the s2 style fogs and indicators, does anywhere sell an ABS replica like that? i've seen them on a few pics

Kamei did a bumper which used the S2 fogs and turn signals... also the MTM clubsport one which is a bit different , both very hard to find though..............

That looks like a good bumper, I have a Reiger GF one on my UR and it fits ok, like the idea of ABS though, I'll check it out.
