That's got nowt to do with Kev on this item... Did you miss the post that said "I" have asked Kev to make this, it not up to Kev if I am getting it made to my improved spec!!
how can you say your improved spec is better than the original, that is just personal choice
WTF you on about???
It will be a better fit, I am looking to make it easier to take back out other than having it glued into place... How can you say that that's not an improvement "just a personal choice"...
Besides it not even in production yet... so it cant be compared, but it will be a better spec!!
I was gonna get a few of these made up with help from a dude at work here. I even drew a design up after measuring one I got from ebay.de (attached). It turned out to be a non-starter though as the said dude from work was too greedy..
I bought one of these boost gauge surrounds from ebay.de and there is a better way of fitting them than by using glue...
the surrond itself has no way of clipping in. Pretty naff to be honest, so I ended up modifying the boost gauge bracket to hold the whole assembely in place
remove centre console and air vents
the boost gauge and surround will just drop in
take the gauge bracket
cut the ends off and fold it up to look like this
bolt it in (the feet of the bracket sit on the edges of the vent dividers)
refit centre console
refit switches and bling alpine stereo ]
hope that helps anyone who has bought a normal bracket
Oh and as with most gauge installations you loose the flap to shut off air coming through but no big deal.
