WTD: 044 Fuel pump with coupe fitting kit

Being lazy really. But thought I'd ask as you never know. If anyone has all the parts needed to fit an 044 into a coupe and a pump for sale please let me know.

To fit the pump with replacement parts you'll want:

    895 201 779 H - Reservoir upper part
    895 201 531 A - Strainer
    N 903 307 01 - Adapter (Banjo)
    N 013 812 8 - Sealing Washers (x2)
    N 011 069 1 - Domed captive nut

Should cost ~£100 all in, then you just need the fuel pump.

Thanks for the part list. Do you need all the parts you listed there or is there a way to fit it by modifying some of the original parts?

The only part that you can re-use is the basket (reservoir and strainer) but I would not recommend that route unless you can tollerate the car being out of action for a day or two.

This is because you have you cut the inner part down to fit the larger Bosch pump low enough and the original basket will be old and brittle and could easily break, meaning you still end up buying new but having to wait another day.

Much easier to build up the new pump, in the new basket with the banjo etc and then all you have to do when swapping things over is change the size of one of the spade terminals on the loom (Bosch studs are thiker than OEM).

That also leaves you with a complete working pump as a back-up should the Bosch unit fail (however unlikely).

        Cheers n

If i got it right, he wants to fit an 044 fuel pump into a coupe.
Then you told him the shopping list.
          But isnt the 895 201 779 H a coupe part, originally?

From what I've read it was a part on early coupes (not sure whether all or any 3Bs have it though) on ABYs they use a different basket for a smaller diameter fuel pump.

How much power do you need? I would consider the cheaper alternative of the 005 pump then you could also have money for the mounting things. The 005 pump also fits better then the 044.
