80/B4 vacuum servo/booster

Im after a brake vacuum servo (big disc on bulkhead) that was fitted to some b4/coupe/cab/80 models. Im after something as new or low mileage as possible but will consider most. Just wondered if anyone on here has on before i start trawling breakers yards.

are you planing to use that vacuum cleaner with your S2 master cylinder?

That is a good point James, are you use an S2 MC or that puny little thing that came on your 10v?

Nah changed the puney steel one for an alloy one a fair while back in prep for the 996 brakes. I used a 20v one rather than s2 as it is the same size and it had the correct number of outlets.

I'm already using vacuum assist as my car started life with vacuum (coupe Quattro) and I didn't want to contend with (self-deactivating) bombs etc. it all works great but I think my servo is dying ( got to be about 200k old now!) I'm having to press the pedal harder than I should.

I have one somewhere but maybe you just have a leak in the vacuum hose?

Yeah, I have one of those too, but it has a hydraulic servo.. No I meant I have a spare vacuum servo Rocco!

Nah, checked for leaks, and checked the check valve i have fitted and theyre all good. Thanks for the offer newsh, do you know how old it is??

it seems that S2 size master cylinder with V6 vacuum cleaner is a good and cheap alternative to our desired brake acumulator "bombs"

Still on the hunt, for a newish/lowish mileage Lucas 9" vacuum servo, any one of the below part numbers:

You'd be best of going for 893 612 107 A which I believe was the latest supersession and therefore from the later model cars
