251E = NG engine

034105251A & 034105251E both return the result 034105251A, which is one of the first results I came across and again looks slightly different to the damper removed from my RS2, and RS2 isn't mentioned as one of the vehicles it's compatible with...

Yeah, I looked at that on the 034 website, I don't think it's appropriate for this application. Nevertheless I put the idea to Will to see what he says...

I can try TPS for you on Monday, they should be able to check and see if any UK dealers have one knocking about, after all they supply them....

I'd guess at more like ~ £500 TBH, given the price of those others and the old data on Vagcat which is generally about 50% of the actual cost.

Maybe £500, but even that could be plus VAT - I know I priced one up in years gone by and was suitably knocked back at the ludicrous price!!

My local dealer is quoting £573.01 inc VAT, and can discount me 12% = £504.25 inc VAT.
I imagine TPS will be a bit less.

Kit said he tried TPS this morning for the pulley [054105255E] and damper [034105251M] and they were both NLA...

I tried TPS too and they said NLA Dec 2012 - Same part ABY and ADU - Try Audi tradition was the suggestion. lol.....

Maybe they just happen to have old stock - I know some dealers got options on containers of old stock at 10% - So there may be haggling space too.

I once got from VAG a brand new VW G60 02A gearbox with clutch slave and release bearing for.... wait for it £325! RRP £2200 exchange!!!
