    Old Elsawin

Anyone got an older version of Elsawin that allows brand selection. Granted that there is not much info on that that can be used but I would still like to have access to it!
The latest versions are massive and include data from other brands that will not be used.
I have an early version installed but its beyond my skill set to transfer it from an ancient laptop to a more modern one! Unfortunately I let someone borrow the discs and never saw them again.
If you can help, let me know by PM.
    Ta!

    hi

what kind of data are you looking for? if installed correctly, elsawin shows wiring for cars as old as 1997 S6 AAN.

I am aware of that. Its just the latest versions are @80GB and as you have mentioned the actual useful data is in the 1GB range , for me at least. They also install as a VM which I am not particularly keen on.The earlier version I had allowed installation of only Audi stuff so that cut it down considerably. Just wanted all the automotive related stuff on one laptop.

        I see.

No big help but some things you are wrong about: you can install separate databases into modern version of elsawin, i think starting from 4.0?

I am using 5.2 and you can easily install just one brand.

And it runs on every modern system as a instalation without VM. No need for older x32 systems. Mine is 5.2 version, running on W7x64 installed DB size is 55,6 GB (59.759.135.755 bytes)
        that includes
        CD Version - Audi:2015-02
        CD Version - Commercial Vehicles:2015-01
        CD Version - Volkswagen:2015-01
        CD Version - Seat: 2014-01
        CD Version - Skoda: 2012-03

I guess its down to what you can get. The latest one I have had no option to choose the brand, installed as a VM which I guess is to allow it to be used on older (XP) OS and takes about 80GB of space.
I noticed that that the ability to purchase such SW has been clamped down on by Ebay and I didn't want to download a massive file from an unknown site! I had all my SW and OS on a 30GB HD with 15GB to spare.
I still live in a 32 bit world!

Once I saw 5.3 version with 2016-02 (i think) Audi data @rutracker. Something under 30GB.

But it's challenge to get it up and working

I guess I did have a much earlier version, probaly 3.9 or 4.0. The info is the same for the models and sometimes incorrect or incomplete for say the RS2, but there is no need to store anything other than the Audi stuff for me. Unforturtunately I have no control of the data install and the files are not labelled with anything to identify them other than numerical and there is 30 of them!
