VAG tool 3048

Does anyone have access to one of these they would be prepared to loan or sell.?
I've finally got all the jobs done on a URQ. However the gear change is poor. I either struggle to find 1st and 2nd or if I tweak it I can't fine reverse. I have read the instructions on the Isham research site. It's all a bit foreign at the moment, however I clearly need to 3048 tool to do the job accurately. Can anyone help. Regards Steven

Thanks John. So it looks like it just locks the gear change in the neutral and central position?

Ok. Got it sorted without the tool. Put gearbox in neutral, undo rod nut, move selector to dead centre by eye then carefully tighten rod nut keeping position of rods the same.
