That is the problem with hammerite, it does take ages to cure. Thats why i went the two pack route, its baked then you can handle it straight away

Both are fine done well but both also have their problems.

Nice job with a brush BTW

Bolted the new bits on today and it took no time at all Less than an hour a side with tea and **** scratching. Bleed em up and it was like someone had put a block of wood under the pedal, it is there and rock solid, absofeckinlotely marvelous

      Before

      After

Couple whilst i fooked about fitting them

Once again big thanks to Bry for his help on this, the whole lot went on like it was ment to be there, no hassle or fit issues, highly recommend anyone wanting an upgrade to give him a pm

Thanks to the lads at VAG Parts too, you boys definately know your stuff

Before anyone says anything, yes i did put in the pins and anti rattle gubbins, just hadn't at that point. One thing, did have to 'tweek' the fit on the brake pipes but they could have been sat on at the post office

Just told my insurance company about the new stoppers, they reckon they want 11 quid Its no amount but why put it up at all

Suppose i have just increased my chances of getting hit up the catflap but have at the same time reduced the risk of killing wildlife

Wouldn't mind but bet they wouldn't put the uprated brakes on a replacement if some twit wrote off this one

            here is my renue attempt

Bought me some black caliper paint from the bay,and painted them by hand and brush. The original red paint was heavily cracked and damaged in many places, but i had already spray painted the calipers black(mat) using a heat resistant paint. Now i wanted something more bling looking, and also original porsche looking so here are the results. This was done quite fast i must say, during an afternoon. Then the car rested for 3 days, then i placed the decals.

oh and sorry for the highjack groofosp!
by the way,i could have done a much better job by taking them off and scraping them down to bits with sandpaper, but i only did that a little bit so as not to scratch them around.Besides from afar you can't tell the little details that needed further attention!
                      thanks mate!
                      cheers
