Ok then folks, I had a drive of the beast today.........
All I can say is awesome
The RS6/Phaeton setup looks beautiful sat behind those 18" Avus wheels.
The stopping power is incredible and totally progressive.
A gentle press will stop the car normally.
Then when you apply a bit more pressure the car just buries its nose!
As for any worries about pedal travel I would have to say, there are none.
There is no noticable difference in pedal feel between these and my Hi-specs.
Job well done I say
Matt.

As the fitter of the above brake set up i can only say that these brakes are SPOT ON! If i had any concerns about engineering ability, pedal travel, wheel clearance or even a colour clash it would not have left the workshop. The only concern might be pedal travel. This is governed by piston area, but also the amount of pad knock off, which on these calipers is
minimal.Having just fitted a 6 pot ap racing conversion to an a4 s4 (£ 2300)ap obviously didnt think pedal travel was a problem.(it isnt). The only reason for renewing the brakes is to eliminate fade & ben moans about the noise!! oh and we can!! I can say that messing about with brakes, std or modifyed, should only be atempted by expierianced people, ive done a bit of this you know!you keep findin it ben ill fit it,if i think it appropiate !!!Now what about the back brakes.......................black available yet ?
P.S i have 4 shiney yellow & blue tubes to fit ref mr william stein !!

Hey, if you are all saying it is right then cool! I just got the impression from the original posts that the pedal was travelling a lot before there was any bite.
Congratulations lads on a top job
Cheers,

In Black ehhh - cheeky sod... I didn't know there was an option for black - that would be my preference as they would match with my Black 996 monos (that I'll never get round to fitting this year).
Did you order same discs and carriers as me then ?
Please please please post photos of this funky 2007 black caliper when you can - and any measurement info.
You would need to ask the creators of them. I don't know how much they cost as no cash has exchanged hands. I merely left something under my pillow and the brackets mysteriously appeared.
Didn't you read the story?
Ben

Do the S2 and RS2 share the same master cylinder? If they do, then it's big enough for 4 Porsche calipers and should be enough for two massive ones on the front and two comparatively small calipers on the rear compared to 4 Porsche calipers... or am I assuming too much ?
There are 2 diifferent master cyl The early rs2 has a small one , the 95 has a big one
looks totaly different
