Just a quick note for the 300mm B7 S4, and wants to run the original 16" Avus wheels, there is a problem with e-brake return spring touching the wheel.
I will try a 3mm spacer to see if it allows clearance with the wheel.www.quattro.ca

I tried, there is no way to get the spring in any other position.
Custom spring maybe. So I've removed the spring, and only use the e-brake if I have to.
If someone finds a off the shelf spring that will work please let me know.

In case its of interest to others here is how i did the brake lines using braided stainless instead of regular rubber. I dont do squishy brake pedals!
1)Angle-Brackets off an Audi TT 225 / S3 rear calipers, they angle the brake fitting downwards, and also convert from the 12mm thread on the caliper to a regular 10mm brake hose fitting as per the S2 brake lines.
2)Stainless brake lines made up by HEL Performance (http://www.brake-lines.co.uk/create-...rake-hose.html), i cant find the invoice or order spec so you will have to work out the length you need for yourself.
If i were to order them again i would add the 20degree angle to the caliper fitting end for a bit of strain relief. Thats the only bit i am not entirely happy with as they contact the hub carrier, not a huge issue but i added a length of rubber around the hose to protect them as stainless lines will blow suddenly if the braiding gets damaged.
Other than that everything bolts up, and having covered over 500miles driving around the country this week i am delighted with the difference they have made, they have more or less dialed out all nose dive under heavy braking. Besides the additional braking effort available, the real benefit to me is the fact the car is much more stable under braking allowing you can brake harder with less tram lining and weight transfer. Having a handbrake that works properly is nice too91CQ20v - Gone to a new home

Hello,
Please help me with one question.
My car is a Sedan Audi 80 Quattro with 82mm rear bearings.
I have done the 5x112 conversion and i used 8A0501653A wheel hub for the rear.
I would like to do the 8E0 615 423 C / 424 C conversion for 300mm disc from S4 B5/B6.
My question is, will this conversion need the A4 B5 quattro rear hubs which will give +8mm wider rear trak and will position the brake disc 8mm out ?
The 8A0501653A wheel hub for 82mm bearing has the OE spec and dimensions for Audi B4.
Bellow is the link to the wheel hub i used.

I would apreciate your help guys, thank you.

Differences to Bens work and mine as follows - to best of knowledge -
On the Avant/Sedan with its handbrake layout you can use the 8E0 calipers and therefore retain the disc at 300mm. On the Coupe, the handbrake is problematic with the 8E0 caliper so you need to do things a bit differently - ie use RR/S6 rear calipers, reduce disk diameter to 280mm and use A8/S8 carriers for the 280mm disc.
I never bothered with the backplates / splash shields - hate them really so can't comment on that.
On the Avant/Sedan its all easier cos it all bolts on - the only complexity is handbrake as Ben discussed but it is not a showstopper like the Coupe.
Oh I also see that Ben used the later black coloured calipers - I had the silver ones - then sold to the mighty Ross for his beast.
I still need to get my 996 monos on the front to balance out this combo - all of which could just squeeze into 16" Avus if you wanted - I still have them for winter rubber.

I have S2 Coupe, and like to upgrade my rear brakes.
Is this correct:
300mm disc from A4 S4 B7?
Caliper from S6 witch year?
Carriers from det A8 D3 1998-2003?
Have you upgraded the brake servo/master sylinder?

Hi - Im hoping someone can help me with this handbrake cable mistry with the B7 s4 set up.
Car is a S2 avant and the everything has bolted up fine but the cable just seems too short. I know others have struggled with this but the pictures are no longer working to show how they got around it.
Here is my issue:

Have you got the cable routed correctly and fully back? I did this on my Avant but with B6 S4 calipers and the only issue I had was that the end fitting was different so I swapped the lever over.Nothelle S2 Avant

The cable goes through the rear lower arm and plastic clips of the cable housing hold it in place - I can only think others have broken these clips to get the extra few cm's?
The adjuster I've slacked off but thats obviously just extending the inner cable not the outter shielding.
