Avant Rear Brake Upgrade - Rear Brake Porn by request
the position is right, but on mine, the cable was more tense...but could be a matter of the setting above the propshaft, there is the threaded rod, if there you have it set on far back, could be why they are not in tension...
p.s.: the handbrake should grip firmly on the third tooth btw...
thanks Sküll, sounds logical. I have to adjust the handbrake cables anyway, I just tried if the cables would fit. oh man, looks like the adjusting is a big pita
no, not so much, you now just need a special wrench (10mm):
there is no space up there, and the exhaust and propshaft is in the way. get a wrench like the one in the pic, and setting the handbrake will be a pleasure.
Hi everyone.
Some time ago I mount the S4 B6/B7 rear brakes and I saw a problem to mount them
Well, don't any serius problem.
But I've other little problem, when I drive I can listen one "clanck" in the rear but if I brake or put the hand brake, the sound desapear.
I been watching ETKA and I saw some clips that I dosen't put.
They're 3D0 615 231 and we haven't in the material list that was puttend here.
It's possible that clips become with the brake pads and EBC dosen't sell me the pads with they??
Wonder what the difference is to the coupé regarding hand brake cable. What did the calipers cost?
edit... Oh btw... If S4-b7 fits RS-b7 fits to. =) Know that a guy here in sweden had RS4a calipers on his S4. Same guy I bought my RS4-b7/RS6 front calipers from.
