    It's from the 993 Carrera, circa 1993-4. I was replying to Alistairs thread which had a heading about the 928 S4 / 968CS. reply#26.

The ones at the top of the page are of course monoblocks, size as you said.

        Hi Leigh,
The heading didn't copy over on my post so that's a good excuse.

          Disc sizes

The reason I asked is that I am running what I believe are 928 S4 calipers with 315mm x 28mm discs. This setup was fitted by a previous owner and I wanted to check if the combination was correct.
I seem to have a problem with the pistons not retracting into the caliper and this only starts when the pads are worn and after some heavier braking. I've replaced all the seals and pistons and this seemed to have cured it but I now believe it was because I had fitted new pads.
My most recent thought is that maybe the discs are too thin, at 28mm, and the pistons are extending further out of the caliper than intended.
Anybody have any thoughts, comments, ideas?

            Is this definetely correct?

I assume you could then mount the 996 4pot black callipers on these yes? With what size disc?

              928S4 Caliper...

I too have this caliper and am trying to fit them to my UrS4 using RS2 brackets... rotor size is of my concern too... Stock fitment on Porsche was 304's just like Rs2... then later the 928S4 was superceded by 928GTS which were the actual "BigBlacks/Reds" and the slight increase in caliper size allowed 322's to fit... (piston size is identical on both IIRC)

My question is, whats the the biggest rotor a can fit under that 928S4 caliper(the baby BigBlack)... I'm hoping euroS8 (314's) would work... Who has this configuration been tested by anyone here?
