RS2 Brake Upgrade - Help Please

Ok guys, update time.
I have sourced but not yet purchased some calipers and need to double check what's needed to fit these.
They are the standard Boxster S/996 part no's 996-351-425/426 Fronts, 996-352-421/422 Rears.
Will these fit straight on without the need for brackets front and rear?
Also, which discs and pads should I use with these calipers and where can I get them?
I also notice a sensor on these calipers, can I just remove this or is it used?
Your help would be very much appreciated. ThanksComment

As per the previous posts you need custom brackets for the RS2Ok guys, update time.

You need to buy the brackets from Bruno for front and rear with those calipers
Pads are you own choice to what you want to use spend
Front discs you can use either the audi Rs2 322mm 2 piece discs or the cheaper and probably recommended option and the 964/965 porsche turbo 322 one piece discComment

Daft question but why do you need the custom brackets for these calipers?
We S2 users use the RS2 bracket to mount the same calipers??
Is it to do with the offset for the disc's?

RS2 discs are different size and hat, they are 322mm not 323mm or 314mm which the S2 use.
You would have to mill of 1.7mm, I spoke with Bruno about it who has designed the brackets front and rear.Comment

I would go with Jamo's setup but use the 322mm disk as with the 330 there is little clearance between the caliper and rim, pick up a stone and bith get scraped
Interestingly seen a brake setup on a time attack car at the weekend from a DTM car
disks only 320mm but carbon, looked the business and V light as well1995 RS2 Nogaro

I have the Bruno brackets for the rear and I have custom TideRS brackets for the front
This changes my brake spec to
Front:
Calipers 996 turbo / GT3 996-351-429 & 996-351-430 GT2/GT3 C4 Turbo Front Calipers...
Disc 996 turbo: left 996.351.409.02 & right 996.351.410.02 each disc 330x34mm
Rear
Bruno bracket with 928 5.4 GTS sports disc option 299x24
996-352-421 & 996-352-422 Rear Calipers
Next option down would be to use the 322x32 disc from the 964 /965 turbo and use the bambridge caliper brackets with the front 996-351-429 & 996-351-430 option.
Next option down would be bruno brackets all round with boxster 996 S calipers all round 996-351-425 & 996-351-426 on the front
The biggest choice will be front calipers, I chose the 996 Turbo and 996 Turbo discs option as believe it or not it is cheaper that the boxster 996 S all round option as the discs are only £80 each in comparison to £144 each for the 964 / 965 discs although you have to pay more for the 996 turbo calipers it offsets it self as pads are also cheaper for the 996 turbo calipers.
All the above will fit under 17" with the wheel weights moved accordingly ( I will be using 19" ).
If your feeling flush then you can use the http://www.ultimot.de/ RS2 kit and go for the RS4 B7 8 pots calipers with 350mm or 368mm discs however I would think you need 18" minimum alloys for them.
Hi Jamo, What 19's are you gonna use as I'me thinking seriously about it1995 RS2 Nogaro

Thanks guys, you're a really helpful bunch!!! I'm sure I"ll be back to pick some more information!!!
Just one question @ Jamo: Do you know where I can source the 964/965 porsche turbo 322 one piece disc and roughly how much I can be expecting to pay? I'm just pricing up the whole job and parts list etc.
CheersComment

Guys, I have a 95 RS2 and am being offered a set of 996 turbo
FRONT Calipers : 996-351-429 & 430. Discs : 996.351.409 & 410
REAR Calipers : 996-352-425 & 426. Discs : 996.352.405 & 406
I am kind of confused as to which bracket to use. Direct bolt on in the front and Bruno's bracket in the rear ? I think Bruno's bracket is not meant for 996.352.425/426. Pls help.Last edited by wowow; 19 January 2011, 17:45.________________
