We know the 996T discs fit but unfortunately due to the offset it means that stock wheels will not fit without spacers. If they were identical to the RS2 discs there would not be an issue. The only way to get back the 10mm (or more) needed is a two piece disc so that the caliper is positioned in a more or less stock position and the rotor is moved back in towards the strut. The difference in the disc offset is basically the clearance afforded by the spacers so in theory one should cancel the other out!
The question really is whether the hat/bell of the 2 piece RS2 can be used on a machined 996T disc to achieve the goal of 330mm disc/GT3 calipers within the stock wheel without spacers.

What I am saying is the bells and rotors from the 996 and RS2 are inter changeable not exactly the same

I am quite clear on all the options for the RS2 and have understood the problem from the start.

I think the confusion arises from the terminology. A one piece disc is what it says. A two piece has a rotor ring and a seperate bell or hat.
From what I have seen the GT3 pad sweeps the whole of the friction surface so there is not enough room to mount a hat to the friction surface like the 993TT or the 2 piece RS2. So the question to be answered is whether the RS2 bell/hat of the 2 piece fits within the recess of the 996T disc. Its clear the 996T disc has a step down from the friction surface. If that step is flat then its possible to machine it to accept a bell/hat as per MBT.
It a gross approximation as there are a few variables but we know the 996T disc is 34mm thick. We dont know the depth of the recess but lets say for arguments sake its 4mm. Therefore IF it was possible to mount the 2 piece RS2 hat/bell to the machined 996T disc the total height would be in the 75mm region which is a lot closer to the 77mm or more you would need to clear the stock wheel. However it still might not be enough to clear the wheel without spacers. If you run bigger wheels or spacers then the fitting of the 996T discs is not an issue and if you have the room you might as well run the 350mm versions with appropriate brackets. There are even spacer kits available for the GT3/996T to do this from Porsche specialists.

The 996T uses a one piece disc. The 993TT uses the same 2 piece disc as the RS2 with the 322mm upgrade but a different bell/hat.
Perhaps you are confusing the 996 and the 993. The 996T disc is 330X34mm whilst the 993TT disc is 322X32mm.

I think you are confessed that is a 996 330mm x 34mm bell and rotor in the photo on the left and beside same rotor with 45mm RS2 bell on the right

There are many option and maybe this is one you do not know about

Can't seem to find anything. Unless they are from an odd variant or racing series although the 351 does correspond to front on 996. Don't seem sexy enough for Porsche Cup!
How would you source a replacement without knowing its origin?

Does this mean that there is a 330mm rotor that doesn't have to be machined to fit the bell from the 322mm RS2 disc?

I have now gone trough the parts catalogue for 996 GT3/GT2/Turbo/Carrera (both usa/canada and rest of the world) and I cannot find the 996.351.050 PN in any of them. There is nothing similar either so I'm not sure where to look then. Sent a mail to the dealer I bought the calipers from now since he was selling a lot of Porsche discs also asking if he would be able to help out with something that would have the same offset as RS2 discs.

Edit: also found this page with a detailed drawing of the 304mm disc and a few others. http://jenniskens.livedsl.nl/Technic...2/MyTip284.htm

I have not been able to find anything either!
The only 2 piece 996 discs appear to be the ceramic ones which were at least 350mm but as the method of attaching the bell/hat looks the same as the 993/RS2 upgrade then I guess its not beyond the realms of possibility that those bells/hats are from ceramic discs mated to disc of unknown origin.
Its a bit of a mystery unless Jade know specifically what model the discs are from. It's obviously not a common model so the chances of obtaining cost effective replacements is slim!

Googled to death - Still no leads or even another mention other than this thread now!
The TH 32 does support them being 34mm.

I stumbled across them on ebay list as new 996 4cs, they were cheap I have no further info, and have not seen any the same, I wanted to use these with the VRS adaptor But they are N/A

That is the only reason I am looking at using the RS2 bells that should give me a couple of years to source the correct carriers for a good price

Seems like the 330mm discs are pretty much status quo. Sent a mail to a Porsche dealer also who could not help me with the parts numbers jade mentioned. I guess I will go for the 322x32 disc from the 964 /965 turbo and the adapter from Hansenmotorsport just to get the car back on the road again.

Is it the 965.351.045.00 and 965.351.046.00 that should be used then? They got the same offset as stock RS2 brakes?
