VRS said it matched the part numbers I sent him so I guess they do then.. Easiest would be to get the measurements and compare them against what I got now and see if it fits. Only bad thing about the VRS adapters is that they cost 3x the amount of the ones I got now. I think I can get it cheaper by making them myself to be honest. With shipping and 25% VAT I need to pay $550 for those adapters.
If I can modify them to fit tomorrow I'll just do that for now if it's safe to do, if not I think it's time to make something that fits not to mess around with all this random info that's going around on internet. I'm sure a lot of the wrong info around comes from people that don't care about 3-5mm wrong measurements ^^ I've seen this many times before.Comment

It would be useful to compare the dimensions against the other plans on the other thread to see how close they are. Nothing like a real World comparsion. Obviously there is going to be a bit of tolerence here and there but not mm's!
Not too sure about modifying the brackets if they are alloy, certaintly not the place to under engineer! If they are steel, I wonder if its possible to move the centre by 4mm and then use a top hat bush to get the axial spacing correct. If you modify the calipers then they will not fit any purpose made brackets.
Think the solution is to source or make brackets that will do the job first time.Comment

Ofcourse. I didn't have anything with high accurancy to do the measuring but I used one of these.

The measurements comes here. I tried to be as accurate as I could when measuring but without proper tools and enough time it's hard. Should not be far off tho. Will control measure them now just to see that I didn't miss anything when I was drawing this. I got the 3d model saved so I can give you other measurements on request (or the file if you want it). The drawing doesn't include all the angles that are arced on them but I just had to draw something quick to get the measurements before I head off to work.

I won't modify them. After more checking today I realized that there is not enough material to modify the full 4mm that I need.Comment

offset is about 26mm and height 22 to 23mm Will measure correctly tomorrow
Yours 24mm and 28.1RS 2 580HPComment

Yep thats closer!
Although if we deduct the 4.5mm from the 28mm we are looking at perhaps say 23.5mm. As the gap at the top and bottom was the same then that makes the pad a good fit on the friction surface. It's almost like Porsche meant it to be!
That just leaves the axial dimension to firm up.Comment

Sounds like the vrs adapters will be a perfect fit!
I calculated that I needed 1,35mm increase up from 24 but I think it could be measuring errors. 2mm up to 26 is prolly correct. The height was a bit much down but will wait until you can measure it more accurate and pray for the measurements to fit better

26mm and 23mm is what I have measured from the VRS OnesSounds like the vrs adapters will be a perfect fit!

Doesn't sound to bad. If my measures are correct then I would have the caliper placed 1mm to low but since it's that way it can be shimmed up to the correct placement if it's infact to low when mounted. Tempting to order it instead of doing the hassle of getting one made...Comment

Usually the OE leave a gap at the top of the disc hence the characteristic wear ridge! So the 23mm would leave in theory a 1mm space around the circumference of the disc. Not sure how tight the clearance is within the wheel but moving the caliper down would give more clearance.Comment

clearance is no problem even at the hight I have it at now. With a 330mm disc this would be no problem but I've been trying to get that RS2 322mm hat/bell for some time now without luck so I guess that's no option.Usually the OE leave a gap at the top of the disc hence the characteristic wear ridge! I bet that having it 1mm lower than the brake disc would give me less break force than having it 4mm above
But at least the whole disc is covered. That one millimeter could also be me messing up the measurements a bit as it's hard to measure how far above it is due to access inside the caliper where the pads are showing.

I guess its the differences between optimal and acceptable, with the OE standard being the acceptable! Of the two evils the lesser is to have the pads within the disc!
Shame those two piece 330X34mm discs are not more readily available but you would still need to find the two piece RS2 discs to rob for the bells/hats. They are nearly as hard to get! Starts to get expensive for the marginal theoretical increase.
I'm afraid that you will have to settle for a modest but more cost effective solution. Its still a worthwhile increase in braking performance and for prevention of future maintenance issues.Comment
