Yes my intention is to do something like this as soon I get well enough to begin. It´s worktraining and rehab that´s on focus for the moment.

Had almost them done in MDF wood before the incident with my back, so when they are ready I´m gonna leave them to my friend that work with CNC so I can have them in billet aluminium or steel.

Then you will have a caliper that sits straight instead of bent and you don´t need to rezise down the disc or pad.

    Thomas,
i believe you could use stock brake hoses if the length
is enough when turning the wheel lock to lock.fortunately,
i have a pair of old SS goodridge from a nissan 350z.i had them on
    urs6 and worked well.

    Hello Goeran,
let's update your thread mate i remember
you have sn alternative solution on front brake setup.
and doesn't need to resize the discs iirc.that's cool.

Yes, need to buy new winter tyres, 17" could be cheaper, but then I have to get new wheels for them. I will just look at 18" tyres...

if you re not having problem running the 18" rims,18zr ain't your problem then Thomas.
the rest is much easier than you fabricated the swirlpot

    Thanks pop!

I was going to buy 17Z calipers, did call about them, but then waited too long and someone else did buy them. So I panict and did take the 18Z that was the same price.

I can make any modifications to the strut fittings if nessesary, but fitting under the 17" wheel isn't needed, all my wheels are 18". Only my winter and ice track wheels are 16" so have to forget about them now.

I have an extra pair of UFO struts that I will modify to coilovers and fit these brakes. Have to measure the space before I order discs, the 347x30 could also be a choice, and propably quite lighter. These calipers are from an VW Touareg and I did buy 4-pot rear calipers as well. Will propably try to fit them on my A8/Phaeton 310x22 discs.

one thing,in order to running the calipers under 17" rims.you might need
17zr calipers Thomas as the 17zr has a shorter arm on the calipers(for a smaller discs)
    let's say Cayenne V6 has 17zr with 330mm while 18zr has 350mm disc.the
problem is we could not mods the axial mount style caliper just like the
radial mount style caliper ie,f50,boxster calipers.the calipers arm will
identify the required the disc diameter and we just sort the correct disc size.by doing
this,i needed to resize the disc down from 360 to something like 352-354mm.
if you want to run a smaller disc(to fit under 17" rims) you probably need 17zr
from a V6 cayenne not 18zr.i believe 330mm disc is a way to go...
ps.17zr and 18zr is identical except the longer vs shorter mounting
arms on calipers.the brake pads is interchangeable.i'm running 17zr
brake pads on 18zr calipers due to the sliding face of the disc being
narrower by grinding off the outer edge to resize it down.

    Thomas,
i have no idea on the ufo struts if you can find the solution to bolt
the 18zr calipers right up on the strut w/o any brackets.it should fit
under 18" though with the inner step 18" rims ie,BBS LM.
remember once you use this calipers the easiest way to make everything
simple based on HP2 struts is grind off the overall disc diameter down from
360 to 354mm and use the 17zr brake pads and you are good to go.
as i stated on the thread i need to fabricate the 16mm bolt spacers to make
the calipers sit on the center alignment of the disc.remember here's based on
    hp2 struts not ufo's.

I did read this thread ones again. Touareg/Cayenne Z18 6-pot calipers on a UFO strut. What disc is the easiest to use? A8 34x360mm? It must fit under 18" wheels. Is there any combo that fit under 17"? I didn't see any clear answer to these questions...

if you use the banana calipers, you can remove the stock calipers bracket.it's radial mount style calipers.

you need 360mm with banana style calipers and yes it fitted perfectly under 18's

    Pop,

Will the orange banana shaped caliper fit underneath an 18" rim, such as a Mk 1 S8 rim using spacers on a urS6 ? And if so, then one should use a 360mm disc, cut down on a lathe to say 355mm or 350mm ?

The above discussion is about an urS6, but can I ask the following re a B4 S2.

Does the orange banana caliper bolt straight onto a B4 ABY S2 strut or does one need a custom bracket ?

    Thanks.
