Spigot rings dont move the wheel out like a spacer the just sit in the wheel to make the diameter correct to locate on the hub.
looking at the pic again is it that the wheel is no reaching the hub it is hard to tell ?, if so spigot rings are not the solution.
'I have Porsche ones on my UR.
mine are 968/944 fronts with a sport quattro rear disc. The original wheels can still be fitted you just need to machine of some of the built in spacer 13mm I seem to remember..
You can't get a fag paper between wheel and caliper (stops them getting dusty!) can take a pic if you need!'

You are correct, the wheel is not reaching the hub.

I take it he is referring to machining the disc pads back
Go back to post #18, could do with a picture from an angle as opposed to face on. You can see from my picture that there is enough hub showing to locate within the wheel. So i can only presume that mine must have been milled down.
This is probably a red herring, and I'm sure you checked, but are the calipers and subsequent disc are correct? Pretty sure only the outer or my discs was worked.
I used 986 Boxster 2.7/2.5 fronts. I was told the Boxster S caliper was different, and very similar or the same as some 996 such as the C4S. I had to check the numbers on the calipers to be sure. Its not unheard of for people to have rear calipers too.
Just a thought. It may depend on the caliper brackets.

The part numbers off the callipers 996.351.425 and 996.351.426. These are the fronts off a 3.2 Boxter S. I will check the discs tomorrow as I'm out at the moment.
I can't help thinking that there is some machining to be done somewhere, but I just need to know what to take off and where from.
A friend of mine had this upgrade done by Corey, but as well know he's not around anymore. Think I'll nip through in the morning to see what the difference is with my mates set-up.
Please change the grammar in your post to read correctly. Here you go this reads better.

Haha, can it be programmed into the spell checker to automatically change? Or should it be the perennial and unforrtunate misprint as per Piers Morgan AKA Piers Moron.
Have you machined the 45 degree chamfer on the rear of the disc. Seem to remember that the Sport disc did not have the chamfer. Without it the disc doesen't sit correctly on the hub.
If you have not, just use the std disc as a reference/comparsion to see what need to be done.

I'm going to take one off a car this morning that already has this conversion to see what the changes are.
Just to close this thread off and to say thanks for the help and in particular to Kev, aka Bambridge which without him I would not have finished the job.
Incidentally I didn't finish it until 8.10 so that meant driving through the night and getting there at 5.30 in the morning.
Basically the hat height needs machining down and then some taking off the guides for the pads. Last of all I had to file the edge of the calliper due to the taper of the wheel. Obviously I will repaint this at a later date, but as you can see it's a tight fit..........but well worth it for the extra performance.
