    Awesome Performance!!

Front brakes are complete. The RS4 disks were suffering due to constant abuse. Their poor design shrouds the cooling vanes affecting their ability to shed heat. After a short while they kept warping. The standard 32mm thick disk should be relaced when its thickness reaches about 30.4mm meaning that they can only take wear of 0.8mm per side before they should be thrown in the bin. At £250+ each new, this is a very expensive option in the long run and bad bedding in can cause the disk to wear very quickly. To solve the problem I designed a different disk to suit severe abuse. AP Racing provided the monster 362x36mm disk and the bells were provided by a leading F1 supplier to my CAD designs. The mounting system allows the disk to float radially and axially to eliminate strees increases due to thermal expansion differences between material types. The bell material is extremely expensive as it is the same as used on F1 cars and the slots for the floating bobbins are manufactured to a precision of 0.02mm. The disk is matched to a set of AP CP5555 6pot calipers sitting on custom high strength brackets featuring strong solid steel inserts. All custom manufactured hardware is finished in very durable coating for long service life. They work extemely well and are very smooth and progressive. Short of going to a carbon setup, I find it hard to come up with a better breaking solution for the S2 and indeed any road/track car. Many people know how I drive my car and experienced my old setup with the RS4 disks. This is a whole new level with considerably improved performance. I am making these kits available to anyone that wants them. Enquiries via PM if interested in a demo and/or a price. Custom applications a speciality!
