I bumped into this article which describes adding Boxster S front calipers to a NAmerican CQ wheel bearing carrier with S2 front hubs. Does it work on Euro S2s?

That realy is a silly question given the amountI bumped into this article which describes adding Boxster S front calipers to a NAmerican CQ wheel bearing carrier with S2 front hubs. Does it work on Euro S2s?

Of people on here that have this set up, myself included.
I'm very surprised you have not seen one of the
Countless posts about this. -
Yes, though normally custom brackets used due to cost, and direct fit with 314s, no machining required.

Gee thanks jo, I hadn't been bitch-slapped yet today. I will try to be as nice to you in the future.
I don't have an S2, there aren't any S2s in North America, so I never was concerned/interested in S2 brakes. I just wanted to share what I found. Sorry for the intrusion.

Agree I am not a nooby but I know zero about S2 brake options because there is no need in NAmerica. Now C4 UrS brake options, that is another story:

You cant blame anyone for being confused on brake options, its a minefield. Key points are Boxster S calipers are the same calipers as a 996 911. And the hub fitment for the caliper is the same for CQ20v and S2, and yes you can use RS2 brackets with spacers to move the caliper out from the hub for 323mm disks. ~2mm springs to mind. Then there are the Seat brackets some people used, and bambridge brackets if you just want it to work first time. If its a CQ you have the head ache of finding disks the right size with a four stud bolt pattern, or take the easy way out and convert to S2 5 studs hubs and use A8 disks.91CQ20v - Gone to a new home

Thanks for the reply. By spacers, do you mean the use of washers, say two flat washers, 1 mm thick, kind of thing? You cant blame anyone for being confused on brake options, its a minefield. Washers are a bit ghetto for my taste. I would use a piece of plate drilled for the caliper mounting holes and milled to the right thickness, which would be 0.5x the difference in disc diameter

If you use big diameter washer I dont see the problem. The mating surface on the RS2 caliper bracket is not that big.
