    @ S2Ant

As they're 4 pots and made by Brembo I thought that too. If Cupra R calliper carriers work on the S2's with Porsche callipers then I'd assume that the callipers (in a reverse psychology kind of way) work too, maybe not to the same level, but better than the standard stuff... which is scary at times!

      Andy,
You would need to know the brembo part number for Porsche caliper.

        Greg,

Did you find the Porsche or Brembo P/N for the 996 calipers ?

Sorry to chase you - I'm just trying to close this one in my head.

If we can X-ref the Porsche numbers to Brembo numbers then it should be easy to check if the Seat application is the same...

                Paul,
Just got home from work. Porsche part number for 996/BoxsterS calipers.

This is for 2000 as this is the latest Porsche family album I have.

                996(black)
                996 351 425 22 left
                996 351 426 22 right

                BoxsterS(Red)
                996 351 425 11 left
                996 351 426 11 right

The last two digits represent the color of the caliper.

Brembo sites do not list any number for Porsche calipers. So I don't know how to cross reference the Seat R caliper to the Porsche caliper.

Earlier Spanish and David where posing the question, why if the Porsche rotors for the 996 and BoxsterS are 322X32, do the pins on these calipers have to be filed to fit a 30mm wide rotor.

Well the Porsche Family Album does not give rotor sizes like the Audi FA. So I went searching. Brembo has nothing in there catalogues that cover the newer Porsches. Must be Dealer exclusive.

So I went to the site for Ate. This is where I found out that the 323 and the 314 A8 rotors had the same dimensions, as far as offsets and hats go.

Alas, the rotors on the 996 and BoxsterS are only 318X28, not the 322X32 as mention earlier and in other posts. Now we know why the pins on the calipers need to be filed.

                Ate site.

Just look up Porsche BoxsterS front brakes.

Agreed, i filed my pins down 1mm each side to give just over 1mm clearence from disk.

brembo part numbers usually start with something like 207.xxx.xxx then the porsche or manufacturer p/n is beneath it, so the porsche ones have the model/colour/caliper ref, e.g. 996.351.422

I'll ask some of the ebayers what part numbers are written on their callipers and see what turns up! IIRC people have used Cupra R calliper carriers on the S2 with Porsche callipers??

                          You are completely right.
Thought they used the same discs size as 993 turbo/ C4S 323x32mm

Do you know the size for the 997 and/or 997 S front rotors?

I've just phoned my local Seat dealer and for the caliper mounting brackets for a Cupra R with Brembo calipers they want.....£124 EACH

I think that should put that subject to bed!!
