We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
This has just been posted on yahoo RS2 forum and I think it deserves a wider audience. I take no credit and cannot verify all correct. However it comes via owners who have sourced and fitted these options.
I had to transfer original excel to word so its a bit compressed.
Having trouble sourcing the cast discs in the UK. Car currently has drilled discs but we have no part details.
Does anyone know where I can get part 951-352-041-91. Any help gratefully received as I want my car back!
Hi Cobstar 'longtime no post'. I think the info below would help via one of the many porsche specialists.
That no appears to be a 928 rear disc which is cross drilled although a zimmermann is cheaper
Internet time has been rather limited in recent months for one reason and another.
Thanks for all your help. Aren't our beloved beasts interesting LOL!
Is the Porsche RS2 rear caliper a purely RS2 thing or is there a Porsche part number somewhere out there that does the trick.
I have asked before without any luck and I know Vagparts do them, but I was just wondering as there seems to be very litle info out there and my rear calipers (amoungst others) look like they may need replacing sooner rather than later.
Why do they need replacing Angus ? Is it just the pad binding noise caused by corrosion underneath the pad sliders ? If so replacing the sliders is a lot cheaper.

thanks ... Angus
My guess is that there will be a porsche caliper that will work with the usual modifications due to leading edge/ trailing edge issues.
Given size of disc I guess it will be a 968 CS ?M30(upgrade) or 928 rear caliper. You would really need to find a helpful porsche specialist to check measurements and work it out.

Basically yes, making for an annoying intermitant whining noise, which is currently not to bad.
I am about to bite the bullet ( I really am this time) and upgrade to big reds and thought I would sort out the rears at the same time, but before I do I thought I might find out about the rear callipers in case the corrision was too bad to make good. is the term "pad slider" the technical term and are they known as anything else (for ordering porposes)?
Also if I am going to do a refurb on the rears, what other parts are servicable or should be replaced?
Pete and Al did you upgrade the brake lines when you did yours?
