**** me those before and after shots are amazing -I'd hate to be coming the other way with that shining at me!
Martin - are these only for projector H1 upgrades, or would they also work with my H4 reflector lens HIDS?
What sort of price are you talking about for the HID fogs by the way? Might be tempted by that...Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...

Sorry Jamo, only just seen your post this morningOriginally posted by 4WheelDrifterThe live wire Jamo. The earth wire just needs to be... uh... earthed.
4wheeldrifter is quite right:
I am sure you have sorted it now, the live wire needs to be lengthened to reach the existing female spade connector at the rear of the headlight and then the earth cable to the stud you are using as an earth next to the ballasts....

Good Question! That was going to be my next job once I have got the HID's up and running. I am still trying to find time to do the MartinJS wiring mod to mine....
I have the PIAA Extreme white Sidelights and they don't match either really. They aren't blue/white enough! The Perfectionist

Hi Dan,
Yes, only for projectors headlamps at the moment. I can do the same for H4 low beam only, BUT, that would REALLY need a lot of careful testing as the amount of light out of a non projector headlamp *might* just be TOO much with a real concern about scattered light.
I would want to do lot of testing with Xtreme H4, I honestly do not think it would be responsable to use on the road, I really think it would be way too bright and scattered light.
The fog lamp kits, well the first fog lamp SPECIFIC kit will be with me in under 4 weeks, then I test fit and try it on mine. The cost is likely to be maybe just over half the price of a current kit. BUT, that is not set in stone, it totally depends on the outcome of my testing as to whether I sign off on it or mod it.

Matching high beam with a suitable bhulb is a real problem!!
I remember that Doug tried a heap of bulbs to see what ones were best, I remember the way he described ALL the so called upgrade xtreme bulbs as upper crap I think it was!!!
Theres nothing even close to our Xtreme HID low's. The bulb type in high beam, its the same as low, another H1 bulb.
I am using Osrams +30% brighter Silverstars which were rated as a really good white light, then are custard yellow next to my HID's!!

Is there a bulb thats closely matched to the HID for the main beam??Comment

That is totally fair - even with the "normal" H4 HID there is a LOT of scattered light which does upset a few road users even now. I just don't like the feeling of losing out in the light warsOriginally posted by MartynfHi Dan,

Dan, i think you should try a little experiment with yours. in a nut shell, pull your H4 bulb BACK about 1mm in the headlamp, does the scatter get better? ie more focused 'beam'
Make a temp 1mm spacer to pull the bulb back out of the headlamp by about 1mm thick card will do as its only a short test up against a brick wall at night so to speak. Try it.... see what you think....Comment

Well after losing out in the HID war at Biling after comparison, it seems my projectors have had it on my exisiting lights.
4wheeldrifters lights were alot better with his new E lights he bought.
Just checked the family album and it seems you cant buy the projectors seperatly
So how much are new lights?Attached FilesComment
