I haven't got any pics, left hand side went on top of the abs pump, right hand side i used one of the brackets that came with the kit and screwed it to a metal piece of the car just under where the wgfv is.

I used A6 bulbs and ballasts, stuck them on the flat section immediately below and behind the headlights... one each side, fits perfectly...!

John, treat yourself to some s****y new ellipsoids, its the way forward...! Then with HIDs ontop of that, you will wonder how the hell you ever drove at night at all before....!!!!!
Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird Turbo....undergoing major changes.....
S2 Coupe... bit easier off the line...
'03 ZX12-R daily hack.... lots of nice bolt ons...

Are you selling HID kits mate??
              Whats the story
I want one because my headlights are utter b0llox (as in..I cant actually see more than 1 metre in front of the car in pitch black on low beam!!! high beam is ok)

Though I need to get the headlight mirroring re coated as well!!

Please pm me if you have any kits for sale with price and whatnot...cheers
I'm not personally selling them, myself and Mark just negotiated a GB with a supplier after I'd tested them for a while. They pass on good prices, bloody good delivery times and offer the best warranty I've seen. Three years from the date of purchase on bulbs AND ballasts.
In return they get a few customers extra to what they'd normally get.

If your reflectors are bad, I wouldn't bother with HID's just yet, reflector based HID systems are very inefficient as they scatter light a lot more, making them a bit blinding for other road users. This goes for new cars too, at work we've just binned the reflector based HID option on all primeras.
Projectors (ellipsoids on the later S2 and all RS2/urS4-S6) are worse then your lights as standard with regards to good illumination, but way better on HID's as they focus the light more efficiently.
Where there's a down, there's an up :mischeif:

I'm not saying the refector based HID's are crap, you only need ask Bry what he thinks they are like in his A3 TDi, I'm just saying that they are even better through an ellipsoidal lamp.

There already exists three kits available for the H4/H1 headlamps fitted to the 3B.
The H4 HID kit, which does away with the normal extra highbeam part of the H4, but you'll need to do a wiring mod (same mod as the guys who fit ellipsoids to 3B's) so that the HID stays lit when going to high. This is because an H4 is a dual filament bulb.
You could in theory leave it "as is", but switching from dipped to high quickly and often, will shorten and ultimately bork the ballast.
There is also the H4 Hi/Lo kit. This has an HID and a halogen as one. On dipped you are in HID, flip to high and it goes out an the extra halogen lights. Again not ideal.
And finally the H4 Bi-xenon kit, this is one HID but with a motorised cover that moves around the bulb to direct the light from dipped to high. This is usaully used when a headlamp doesn't have a complimentary highbeam bulb.

A lot of people ask about HID for highs, but these questions usaully come from peeps who haven't yet fitted a dipped kit, You'll see when you've fitted the dipped, that highbeam becomes almost defunct. I live up in woolybackland and travel a lot of back country roads, and find I never need highbeam.
Si (HPmuirt) had the great idea of slightly lifting the beam up on the headlamp "0" position, then during normal driving have it set to "1" or "2". Then change to "0" for a highbeam of sorts. If you catch me.

Exactly what i have done but only gone so far as effectively plus 1 on the electric adjuster.
