I take it you have checked all your other fuses ? S21 will stop your diagnostics working.S27,28,32 will all stop your engine firing up

Yes I have removed, checked and cleaned up all the fuses.

I’ve seen a pin pushed back in the ECU connector before, worth checking.

Otherwise there may be a clue here..

All the injector earths have good continuity and the pins in the ECU and terminals in connector look fine.
I am starting to think it must be an ECU problem, both the origonal and the replacement ECU's must have a similar problem as I cannot see any other reason as to why the car won't start.

Will it run with a slug of easy start shoved down its throat?

yes it will fire with a drop of carb cleaner, so ruled out spark a while ago.
