    Pin from connector removal

A connector for example, like the injectors?

Does any one have a top tip to do this?

I have done three or four now and they are incredibly hard work

I use to small R clips bent straight one down the back one down the side... Is this correct practice?

I don't have one in front of me, but what I normally end up doing is using a miniature screwdriver down the slot where you can bend the pin locking tab gently to release the pin.

I don't understand the 'two small R clips' you describe.

Not sure john, I haven't seen the terminal plug for MAF so couldn't tell you but i'd imagine they do something that fits.

                  EDITED:

I don't know either but according to ETKA, A10Q (for an AAN), illustration 971-52, Item 13, the MAF connector is six pin flat connector (for the MAF), PN 022 906 233A and ATP, the same connector as the throttle position potentiometer.

                  I think.

4-pin you say, but the MAF connector is 6 pins (only one is unused). Must be a typo somewhere. Surely these are standard AMP automotive connectors - but I have never tried to source them separately.

Yes, my bad. Or as you guys would say "What a muppet" (Sorry, the illustration/position looked correct).

All I could find quickly was something for the AAN:

ETKA, A10Q (for an AAN), illustration 971-52, Item 13, the MAF connector is six pin flat connector (for the MAF), PN 022 906 233A and ATP, the same connector as the throttle position potentiometer. The cross reference through ATP shows up A80Q but a V6. When I go the specific 1995 ABY engine harness (Ill. 971-52), only one 6 pin connector shows up and it doesn't seem to be in the right area and is a completely different part no.

You need a special crimper for non insulated terminals
