thats a cracking idea, assuming (eternally the optamist) that I havent sorted it before wednesday, i might have some other help tomorrow aswell, but yes of course, the help will be muchly appreciated

Right, thanks to Jonh (newsh) the s2 lives again! Alarm and closure wiring totally removed, all cut and spliced wires repaired properly and hay presto it works, we did discover the suspected cause of the problem, the feed out of the alarm box to the fuel pump was completely burnt out! Melted the plug and socket!
