Anyone know what the G4 selector switch is and where it is ? Don't think it's the interior lights they go off when you close the door's there is no other light illuminated in the car exept the clock the radio is also not on. I am wondering whether it could be the anti-theft thingy as i have been ripping the after market alarm out and i also changed the ignition switch for one with the correct Colour wires but this did the same thing when i had the other ignition switch fitted. I have also taken out the relays no clicking detected.Comment

Right i have been checking the circuits and i think i have found the culprit when the stereo is connected to the blue wire on the ignition switch it's drawing 4.78 and falling steady when you disconnect the blue wire there is zero drain, i found another perm wire and connected the red from the stereo it's drawing 0.8 5 is this an acceptable draw on the battery or still to much.Comment

800mA is way too much!Right i have been checking the circuits and i think i have found the culprit when the stereo is connected to the blue wire on the ignition switch it's drawing 4.78 and falling steady when you disconnect the blue wire there is zero drain, i found another perm wire and connected the red from the stereo it's drawing 0.8 5 is this an acceptable draw on the battery or still to much.
My UrS4 has less than 10mA total - my clarion radio draws about 4-5 mA1993 AAN UrS4 SedanComment

Sounds like there's possibly a problem with the stereo or the live feed you are using is being used by something else.
0.8A will flatten the battery. A boot light permanently on will draw 0.3A
There isn't normally an ignition switched feed on the S2. Where are you sourcing the permanent feed from. It should already be present in the radio iso wiring.Mike

I have found another wire behind the stereo that was also perm live probebly the one you are on about, so i connected it to that and checked the drain and it is showing the 0.8 well i left the car for 8 hours while i did my shift took some jump leads just in case but didn't need them car started with loads of power in the battery, Will have another dig around on the w/end to find where the drain is coming from.Sounds like there's possibly a problem with the stereo or the live feed you are using is being used by something else.
