All done, works exactly how MDZ says.
The illumination was simpler, just connect the spare wire on the switch to the light circuit for the mirror switch
Powder coated satin black triggers...
Here is a pic on my development door cards (only vinyl covered, I have some mint leather ones to modify...)
I think I am happy with the look, so will most likely build the leather ones during my vacation... the wife will be happy......

Ok,
Mine went like this:
Used an electrician to connect things.
A3 switch
Removed the plug on the driver door, and connected the 3 cables to the switch as well as the led.
Led works fine
Switch works fine doing what it's supposed to...
However:
My Clifford alarm is wired to passively lock the doors when arming and unlocking the doors.
So here is what's happening:
When the doors are unlocked and I get out of the car, I arm the alarm, doors lock, and moments later unlock because the switch tells them to!
Similarly, if I open the drivers door, then lock the doors with the switch (drivers remains unlocked as the door is open) I then shut the drivers door, arm the alarm, drivers door remains open and the rest are already locked. I have to physically use the key to lock the drivers door.
Doh so how can this be bypassed?
I am being told that if I connect the plug to the drivers door trigger, at some point of the lock or unlock process I will end up getting ground and 12v together thus creating a small fire!Comment

Without wishing to start anything,
just want to casually mention that the UrS6 comes standard with this button on the driver's door, just sayin......... as part of my one man campaign to raise the level of appreciation for the UrS6.
