The CL pump is triggered by a switch in the vacuum servo in the door, so you probably have a broken circuit or bad connection there. Test continuity between the vacuum servo & the pump, IIRC the wire is green/blue.
Also if your remote locking is aftermarket they will have spliced this wire to connect the RCL, so this connection or indeed the alarm or RCL control unit could be at fault.

    EDIT: see attached wiring diagram

Another vote for ai606 never had a single false alarm or any other issue in 7 years.

I wen't down a slightly differnt route and "helped" a "proffesional" install it.

I detest every alarm installation I have ever come across in an audi. Every single one has been horrible, messy, untidy, bare wires, cheap insolation tape, self tappers into scuttle panel, and just generally 5h17!!!!

And I have yet to see a system that does more than single circuit immobilisation!!!!

All installed systems i have seen have all wired both immobilizer circuits into the same wires, so that it only cuts one circuit. I guess its a common shortcut they take..

                This arrived today.

Toad Ai606. I'll get the bulk of it fitted next week. Not going to connect the immobiliser circuits until I have the engine in and running - one less problem to diagnose if it doesn't start!

Hoping to get some info from this thread- had a aftermarket level 4 (whatever that means) fitted in SA for insurance purposes and now the fuel cap and boot are locking/unlocking as part of the central locking- And help is appreciated!

                  Cheers

I never got round to sorting mine out but bizarrely a few months locked away for the winter has sorted it out by itself. I no longer need to unlock the car from the passenger side to fill up with fuel now. Hurrah! Naturally I look forward to it screwing up again

99% sure it will be the microswitch in the lock actuator

Cool, that sounds better than fannying around trying to find shorts in wiring and faffing around in the door hinges.
