Right all sorted thanks chaps.
A friend of mine just happened to notice a section of loom where the outer sheathing was cracked as it does right at the front of the chassis leg almost out of all view behind the washer bottle.
On closer inspection the earth for the normal screen wash pump had cracked and the wire had gone black. A quick repair and all sorted..... Got there in the end but this one sent me on a right wild goose chase!!!
