I am sure that it is my induction side giving me a problem, turbo possibly, or pipe work which is still 2.5in steel tube over cam cover or in let cam ?
I'm going to check the pressure difference between turbo outlet and intake manifold later to see if I have a restriction in the pipe work.

It isn't helping performnce the long inlet track. But 500 hp is possible on standard 3b intake system. I'm running 3" inlet pipes and reversed inlet manifold.

so your intercooler is in the sameplace as mine and a similar size .you really need a front mount IC. is yours a dialynx 1 like mine by any chance??
if so that is what is probably holding you back i'm suprised you got 400bhp if thats the case.
I have a UR 10 valve with motronic injection/ignition and have a pace charge cooler as the intercooler (dialynx) was completely ineffective. Even the charge cooler started to see increasing inlet temps at 1.8 bar running on a k26/GT3071!
Have now fitted a 034EFI tubular exhaust manifold and 3 inch down pipe and a custom 10v/20v hybrid inlet manifold. Have decided to run the dialynx intercooler in tandem with the pace cooler to (hopefully!) solve any inlet temp problems! because the Pace cooler sits where the old intercooler did, I have move the alternator back to its original position (it fits with the cooler) and set the intercooler in front of the radiator in an upright position - notperfect but the best I could do in the space available. Didn't want to cut the car up for a full FMIC.
Am aiming for 400 bhp+........!

Yeah it is ! Although efficiency not the bad full boost 1.65 bar ambient @ 8 degrees C charge temp 36 degrees C.
Next upgrade will be A2 spec body + front mount ic.
I have no idea how your dialynx intercooler is giving you that much efficiency? Mine was nothing like as good as that and they should be similar.
Could point to poor overall flow of the turbo, therby giving the charge longer in the intercooler to cool more.......?

Induction flow is an area I am looking at to find more power, I am changing the oulet of the I/C to 3in instead of 2.5in ( this will probably decrease the coolers efficiency but increase charge flow ). I am also changing the induction pipe to the throttle body (as this was only 2.25in) to 3in to improve flow. I guess this might show up the requirements for a bigger intercooler, however for the time being I will be running a temp sensitive I/C water spray.
Sorry got to keep it German KKK, after all they won plenty of rallies ! I think you've been watching to much Fast and Furious ! Perhaps you should buy an MR2 or something !
Now at 440bhp and 420lbs torque @ 1.7 bar. I changed ABY inlet tube from 2.25in to 3in and intercooler oulet from 2.5 to 3in, a good improvement ! I think i am now at the efficient limit of the turbo and more so intercooler.
