Can you guys with RS2 airboxes answer me this, in the pics below you can see that on the ABY box the heat shield wraps round the lower attachment point andon the RS2 it doesn't, does this mean my heat shield has been modified or are all Rs2 boxes like this? I think this one may have been snipped to clear a larger turbo?
One point, more out of curiosity, if the RS2 box is the one to have? To me it looks the same except the intake, if that is the case then why not just create a new intake. Obviously it would help if you have access to a lathe but would not be difficult to machine a new trumpet and cut the old one out and plastic weld the new one in.
Just a thought, makes no difference to me as I can't use this on the S6 but just a thought.
Yeah, the box splits in a different place too so there's a bigger volume of air above the filter , I'm sure you could improve the ABY one though as you say, some plastic gutter pipe maybe?
This mod has made a surprising difference to how the car runs, I want to dyno it again now.
I can see now (again!!!)that but I am trying to think of a cheap, effective mod for the ABY, not that I have an ABY one to hand but just sounding out the possibilities.
