how many people would be interested in dry sump system for their s2/ rs2/ quattro ?.only reply if you are for real please as it will determine the price .there isn't a ready made system available for the 5 cylinder as far as i know so it will have to be built as a one off

I'm interested as I was looking at doing a rear mounted oil cooler as in the A2 rally cars. I presume you'll be doing something similar in your sport replica?

Whats the benefit? and how much dismantling of the engine is aquierd? I am interressted in everything that cqan make my engine running more safe. Hope to get up to 600-700 bhp this winter by adjusting the boost.

this is just a rough estimate after speaking to the chap. sump modified and pump about $1400 US , then the tank and pipes maybe another $200 US,the sump has to be sent away for him to modify and give me a accurate price .its not happening straight away maybe later this year i just want to know how many people would have one so i can hopefully get a good deal .
Niall on the shorty i wont be using an oil cooler at the back under my spoiler .this system gives you extra power and it also protects and lubricates your engine in extreme circumstances where the original pump cant cope .

if you drive on the road so you don't need it

if you drive on a race track and your energine has 1000hose power

                      so you need it

                      best regards svendsvin

depends on how you drive it on the road

If You plan to rev more than 7800rpm safely, You need to do SOMEthing to the oil pump.

Dry sump might not be the cheapest way, but who said building reliable HiPo engine is? It is cheaper to put it in before the first stock pump explosion, that I can tell...

its about MORE hp with drysump too, about 10-12% more power......if you have more than 8krpm,you neeed drysump, and hard corners to do.....

thats what i'm trying to say people are spending thousends on engines yet ignoring the safety aspect of it .every body on here i think has standard pump yet well modified engines.
