Zen,

my K&N is a replacement type filter element that suits the box, so its not the cone type. However, as I complained earlier, when I tried the KN in the box, the car started to hesitate for half a second befora starting to accelerate so actually it was worse with the KN. After some hints from Dan and Glen I cleaned the MAF so I should try it once again but am I a bit lazy.....In Hungary it is some 35 degrees Celsius at sommer so the cone is not the best for the car I think.

ah yes, the cone.. hmm... yeah it has it's own hassles, guess I'll just stick to the box for now then...... (the fact that I can't get all clips fastened (3B) put me to the idea to put a cone in....)

I could show you my fingernails after filterchange.....*****. But after the 23rd attempt it usually clicks in. Replace the stock every 4 months or buy KN element for 60 euro.
