Just got back from test drive.

All is sweet and the boost is charging much faster too, I think that IC mod must make all the difference. .

Thanks again everyone for all your input...

I hope the favour can be returned one day.

Next weekends project is HDI's and ellipsoids ..

Was the crank pulley done up properly to the right torque? Hope so, seems like the tensioner wasn't done up right, pray the belt hasn't slipped and bent any valves..

You MUST check the dissy marks against the flywheel marks on the 3B..

Check everything really carefully or you'll be paying out for new valves at the very least!

Yeh plenty of torque on the crank bolt We had a whole person on the end of the extended bar.... .

I didnt check the lineup against the flywheel because its a PITA to get to and i was racing against the rain..

Its all seems good now though..


@Stu, yeh i think that the water pump must have come loos a bit, when i removed the cover the belt was way slacker than when we put it back together.
Its not going anywhere now though. I made sure it is done up proper tight!

@dean, Thanks for the link. Luckily i wont need to do a rebuild just yet. May come in useful one day though

Actually Stu Did a very good job of my belt change.
And he defiantly knew what he was doing..

Just that i didn't tighten the water pump enough so that the power steering adjusting arm pushed it down a little when tightening the belt .


I am now also getting the hang of it.. only by default though .

Next time im going to time myself and then we can start a thread on camblet change best times. .
