There's also a timing mark on the flywheel.

Give that panel behind the belt a clean, it was there at the garage meet, its only small tho so might have dirt in it, clean it up as best you can, dont use chemicals tho as they wont do the belt any good!!

have cleaned it up as good as poss with toothbrush.
Cant see any V shaped marks though... i think it must have to line up with on of the metal litps .

These two marks should line up.

I doubts that far round, but i cant remember, but on the ABY its not too far from where your mark is there, its def not straight up, the mark was def there tho as i remember seeing it at the garage meet.

Bo, IIRC the bracket attached to the water pump wasn't on when belt was tensioned. Is it possible that the pump has loosened so the belt has lost tension.

Try to line up using the marking on the flywheel and to double check that you have TDC you could remove a spark plug and make sure no1 piston is at the top of its stroke using a long screwdriver

Was the crank pulley done up properly to the right torque? Hope so, seems like the tensioner wasn't done up right, pray the belt hasn't slipped and bent any valves..

You MUST check the dissy marks against the flywheel marks on the 3B..

Check everything really carefully or you'll be paying out for new valves at the very least!

                          She Lives Again!!!

Just fired her up and she started first time..... then off and back on about 5 more times and she fiers up straight away!!!

Thanks so much for all your help guys...
Turns out dissy and hall sensor are fine..

It was just the belt that was not lined up properly..
Must have been the water pump that moved down and slackened the belt.

Going to go on a 300mile road trip now to make up for lost driving...

                          See you later..
                          Cheers.
