GT28RS with new GTX-R compressor wheel wouldn't be a bad choice. Ive already sent an query E-mail the them. Lets see what they answer.

I'm currently running the gt2871 0.61 on my rs2. I resently canged from a Turbonetics t3 turbo. Running it on the same setup as the Turbonetics turbo it pulls a little less HP on the top, BUT driving the car is a new world full boost at aroud 2700 rpm compared to 3400. I 'm using a turbosmart boostcontroller with 3 boost setups. Now in the winter i only run it at appx. 1,35 bar. setup 2 is 1,55 and 3 is 1,8 bar.

I don't have the hp / torque sheets here, but at the top of my head I think it was 409hp / 578 NM @ 1,8 bar

The spool up compared to the original turbo is mutch quicker, although there is quite some time since i used the original one

Decision

So 12 months on, does anyone have anything to add to this thread? I am between a 3071R / 2871R and this GT28RS. I currently have the same setup as Greg_S being RS2 stage 3 turbo (MD147) etc.

I am now needing more responsiveness down low as I am doing a lot more city driving. Currently full boost (28psi) happens at 4Krpm + But as I will only be able to do this once - thoughts appreciated. I am also interested in what installation tips there are for the 2871 and 3071. I understand there is some difficulty fitting? What is the problem and the associated solution?

I need to take advantage of the AUD USD excahnage rate with 034MS
