Excellent, just got back from Newsh's place - the PCV system is now restored and the car is running noticably sweeter - a big Cheers to Newsh for his time and expertise!

Just one general question, we weren't entirely sure about the spiral copper wire "flametrap" jobbie - is that really supposed to just be wedged in to the hose and sit there under the saucepan-shaped jobbie? Seemed odd anyway.

My flame trap was stuffed down the metal breather hose that joins to the PCV valve.

The location of the flame trap is different on the 3B from the ABY & ADU.

      Have a look here.

Ok Thats useful, in the diagram earlier in this thread it looks like its below the valve, I didn't want to put it there in case it fell down into the crankcase so we left it out.. I'm pretty sure mine hasn't got one. It would be easy to put it in the tube on the output of the valve though. That hose clip at least is easy to get to Strange little thing, bit like a pan scourer..

Has any one got a shopping list of whats required to replace the whole system with Samco hose and a breather/catcher tank?

I think this would be really useful as a few people will want to do this eventually as there breather hoses fail one by one.

@Newsh - are you still able to make up the reducers? or was that a one off?
