Alternatives to OE Hall Senders/Cam Sensors

Can someone of the metalwork gurus on here knock up a bracket that works with this sensor from BB Automacao so that it can make a more suitable drop-in replacement part - as opposed to drilling out original rivets on the factory item and general fiddling about.

Have many AAN users actually used that CDN$5 part with success already ? Paul

It really isn't a big deal to drill out the rivets. 2 minutes work.

There have been a number of GBs in North America. (over 100 pieces bought and distributed). There a number of replacement procedures that have been written and are on the AudiWorld Original S-cars forum FAQ (that I started). Some of these include:

Again US$10 or so (in a GB with shipping etc) vs triple digit GBP (with a new bracket). Take your pick.

They come with rivets already attached. All you have to do is to remove the OE sender (drill out the OE rivets) and position the new sender in the holes and crimp the attached rivets with a suitably sized metal pin and a light hammer. (No BFHs needed). I think people have used "borrowed" house door hinge pins to accomplish this task. No bigga deal.
