Dean, my heart bleeds for you Here in cardiff (which is presumably the middle of nowhere) optimax has been over 105p for months I haven't been to see if the V-power is in yet..... last few tanks have been Tesco 99RON......

This sounds good. After filling up in with V-Power in Luxembourg at the weekend (@ ~77p/litre), I was very impressed with the performance over Optimax. It even smelt different to Optimax, more like octane booster.

I just hope it we get the genuine article, and not some new formula, specially 'watered down' for the UK market.

If I see some I'll be sure to try it. That will soon tell me if it's any good.

I can't wait to start using this V stuff.......I changed from Optimax (which I'd used for a year) to Tesco 99 about 3 weeks ago, but the MPG on Tesco is awful and the car takes ages to settle it's idle and is still never stable (never a problem before)......V Power here I come.

                      Hell yes

Unleaded is 91.9 V-Power is 98.9 at my local Shell station

Needless to say the "mean machine" is getting a full tank treatment tomorrow when it comes for the first time

Tesco's 99 for me, my S2 and Golf GTI love it. Never been happy with optimax beforehand. I may try the v-power though.

tesco for me too, i'm sure V-power is just a marketing hype/rebrand of optimax, sounds a terrible name to me, bit 'lax power'. Filled with 99 Tesco super this morning at 96.9p never thought i would say it but thats a bargain against the big brand £1+ super

Even the old mans Range Rover is running like a good-'un on its new tankfull of V-power!, sounding slightly sweeter and noticeably more responsive (It is chipped too).

I quite like the name 'V-Power' myself. Optimax always reminded me of a computer upgrade for some reason!
