  • Exhaust Manifold Stud Torque

How tight do this get torqued into the head? And how tight are the nuts?

The info I have just sayd 25Nm but not sure if that is the stud or nut - the nuts certainly weren't that tight when I took them off.

I've just done my 10v this afternoon, the studs are loctited and just go in to the end of the thread, and get nipped up.

The torque is for the nuts which should have special thick washers (they do on the ur anyway..)

Are you using new studs? and nuts? I was told to fit new studs but I could re-use the nuts if in good nick, just bang them with a hammer to rejuvenate the locking effect, in the end I used new nuts too...

25Nm isn't very tight, the ur (10v) is 35 and no probs (only has 10 studs though).
