High flow panel filter for RS2 Airbox?

I went for the BMC filter which arrived today and is fitted ready for CC tomorrow, first impressions, more intake noise from the Turbo and DV, car definitely pulls harder than with the stock paper filter although it was cold out tonight so denser air..

Demon Tweets have K&N for £43 and a BMC cotton for £41.

Anyone have any thoughts about which might be better?

What was the part number of the BMC filter?

Did anyone find an ITG one?

How well are these foam ones made? Heard of them being sucked apart but that could all be BS.

BMC is more like a K&N, wire reinforced, very strong.

Hello, so BMC air filter are better than K&N air filter? On my RS2 now I want put a new MAF so I don't want damage it with a bad air filter, now I have a K&N one. Is a lot of difference between original paper air filter and the others? Thanks a lot! Bye

I've been runnig a K&N for 5 years with no issues, the time that it'll be worst is when new or after re-oiling. Some care and attention and you'll be absolutely fine.

In my S4 w/RS2 bits, I've been running the same K&N since 1996, over 240k miles with no problems.

Same here. Running K&N in my Avant for 3 years without problems so far. I did never re-lubricate it though!

I've had ITG for a while in an ABY box then moved it into and RS2 box last week fits fine.

I phoned ITG to check it out they were helpful on the phone.

I clean and re-oil mine once a year....after pollen season. Paul should remember how bad the pollen gets here in GA this time of year.
