    RS2 MAF Options

At the end of October I contacted my local Audi dealer and asked for a new MAF. They placed the order including gold connectors. The connectors arrived so all I needed was the MAF.

Today after me asking for the fifth time I get an email telling me the cannot supply the MAF.

If your MAF has failed are there alternatives makes or equivalents available. I have tried Bosch they say no longer available.

I would prefer to keep the MAF.

    ABY available from Audi Tradition.

Unless my memory has failed - the ABY MAF is electrically & dimensionally identical to the RS2 MAF - the only difference I know of on the RS2 MAF is the wider mesh screens which are less restrictive than ABY. Would be easy for anyone with 3D CAD software and 3D printer to replicate the RS2 MAF screens... I assume you can print something that would be robust enough to sustain modest heat on inlet side of motor.

        Read this:

"Here is what Cody Payne found out about the 471K and RS2 471N output voltages:

"prj" (dmitri) on the S2Forum had a look at the above graph and commented:

"I can confirm from factory data now, that they are completely identical electrically. The difference on that graph is likely because not two brand new units were compared and because they are within a 3% error margin anyway. That graph to me looks like they used an AAN maf with some miles on and a brand new ADU MAF."

I bought one rebuild unit with my existing MAF housing from here almost 2yrs ago. they claim it was rebuilt by Porsche.

          www.teile-profis.de or carparts-pros.com

i can't validate whether it's real rebuilt unit but when it's used there is no more fault code at all.

Guys please see link 968 looks like it needs a resistor change.

The resistor change relates to scaling the MAF signal differently on RS2 ECU (differently from AAN / ABY). The MAF itself on AAN, ABY, RS2 & Porsche 968 is electrically and dimensionally identical.
