It is a 60 tooth trigger, just with 2 “missing”. The teeth are spaced at 6 degree increments.
How can it be at a different angle from one phase to the next, it’s fixed to the crank
Do they mean the cycles overlap the engine phasing? Sounds like they have not thought their trigger decoder out to suit 5 cyl....

EDIT: Just to clarify, have you had the car running on this ECU using the stock 3 sensor trigger setup?

I ama bit confused too. Yes i had the car runningon this setup but just using the dizzy. It was a 10V before and it worked well just configuring the ECU to work with the dizzy. Only upgraded the head to 20V and a few other internals.Currently, it is running on the dizzy and single coil alone and it works well

Don't forget. 10v distributor has 5 window disc and 20v distributor has only one window disc for firing point.

So how did you get around it with VEMS?

i installed the same 60-2 crank seal just like you:

Also, my head was a 3B, so I welded a CPS bracket and then installed an AAN CPS

Make sure when the Cam Pos. Sensor's window is at the sensor the Crank Pos. Sensor is not. like 2 teeth off

Thank you for the tip!! I finally have a signal and can get a strobbing light with the timing gun. only problem is that i have no output on ignition outputs 3,4 and 5. Need to figure those out and I believe i should have lift off! keep you posted

So it seems that the Adaptronic will not work with a 60-2 (missing tooth setup) with a 5 cylinder engine. Confirmed as much by adaptronic support. Having no luck in finding descent support to make it work, it seems the stock setup should work just fine i.e 135 tooth flywheel with timing pin. Adaptronic confirmed as such too, which is motivating news.

Flowimprover was kind enough to send me the triggering setting ECU file for the OEM timing pin. I think i am on the right track. Problem is that my engine was initially an NG and i simply did the 20V head upgrade therefore don't have a 7A flywheel. Does anyone know the timing pin position(which tooth) and configuration(height and diameter) so that i can get a good strong signal? I have seen a few posts here on this but didn't really understand the final conclusion on this. Simply put, when the flwheel is bolted to the engine(looking at the flywheel from the engine side), on what tooth position, clockwise or anti clockwise(kindly specify), is the timing pin from the 0 mark?

                    Cheers

I realize this thread is almost 5 years old but ive got a 3B that im installing the 60-2 rear trigger on as well. i can research all the phase angle stuff but PHYSICALLY what orientation does the sensor wheel get pressed onto the crank, and has anybody added a keeper screw or adhesive to prevent slippage? it has no marks for orientation nor any securing pin. im at TDC #1 holding the wheel in hand at a loss.

It has a plastic holder, which holds that disc in the position, you should install it like lining that hole with that circle in plastic housing. Its press fit, it won't move anywhere. If you using an aftermarket ECU like Maxx, it doesn't matter whether you line these marks or not, as far as it won't be the same line window as the cam trigger.
As you can see in my picture. I didn't line these marks perfectly, but it's not a big deal.

the tool is for the original orientation (factory ecu)
basically anywhere is good, its adjustable in stand alone ecu (vems is sensitive if they are lined up)
