  • Extra oil temp .. ABY engine

    Hi guys .. i want to put a oiltemp on the engine .. the thing is i hove no more places to use .. i wonder if there is picture where you can see all the points that are oil and you can use.?

    Do you want sump temperature, temperature after oil pump, or....?

      i think the sump temperature would be good .. could change the sump nut to one with 1,8 npt outlet in centre.
      What is the original thread on the sump ?

        Here is what I did when I wanted a oil temp gauge in my maxxecu/Audi urs4.
        Bought a new oil sump plug from autoexperten, drilled and tapped the plug with the right threads for the temp sensor.

                Easy search

                Sump plug all 5Cyl Audi threads: M 26 x 1,50
                Bosch M12 CLT temp sensor: M12x1.5mm

                  Nice work. What type of gauge are you guys connecting this to? Might do something similar.
                  Nothelle S2 Avant in restoration

                    I used 1/8 NPT fitting , dont want to use M fitting , dont want the extra spacer.

                    When i try to upload a picture from photo album ... i get this ... SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0”
