i asked forge to contact my local dealer who kind enough to exhange it without any hassle.(i was amazed i must say),i didnt know that forge units come with lifetime guarentee and also i must admit that if i hadnt contacted forge there would be a tremendous hassle to exhange the unit in this condition.Greek sellers are very reluctant...i hate it.But everything is good now,so..yeah!!!!

      Oki cool,

I have just contacted Forge and asked them what to do, maybe they will give exchange mine as well. I bought mine from a dealer in Austria, so that is a bit hard to get it shipped to him.

      Cheers

FYI - The 006 is common to leak at the screws (well the older version is if you say they have updated it) whereas the 007 had threads machined on the body so it screws together and won't leak.
Although the 006 is bigger slightly than the 007 i don't think it would make much difference

Forge are very good with replacment of faulty items, bonus for me as there UK HQ is only 5 mins drive from my house

also forge mentioned that we SHOULD NOT use it in the reverse manner.only in the normal orientation as the OEM unit

That's interesting, as the intructions I got from Forge for the S3 DV relocation kit showed the DV fitted the wrong way. I thought that couldn't be right, and when I test drove the car after fitting it felt wrong. It's now as it is shown in my picture anyway, the correct/original way and all is well.

fyi - took mine off and cleaned it and all is well again - seems like it sticks slightly open. It's fitted 'wrong way round' as per original suggestions, but may be I'll try putting it in factory way round and see if it lasts longer before the need for a clean-up.

Anyone else have this issue - seems to run for no more than 2,000kms before issues that a good clean seems to resolve.

what does a good clean up require?I always used to clean with a towel and renew the grease around the seals.will that do the job?

good question. I'm using a bit or carb cleaner on a small cloth and just trying to get dirt away from the sealing edges without having to take the whole thing apart and re-seal as I've got better things to do in life when I could just replace the part with the cheap Audi version every once in a while.

i would like to share mine experinces with forge and s3 DV.

i found out that if i fit s3 DV in wrong position (vacuum "nipple" up) car is much quicker in response and boosted faster.
fitting forge 006 in wrong position make car slower and much slower boost spoil ....so now i have fitted forge right and i get very good boost spoil and response. i am using yellow spring and 2 plates (aby is homefried).

i guess that it is possible if forge is fitted in wrong possition and too weak spring is used that high boost may open DV......
